HUNT TEST
Picture of a Hunt Test

Hunt Test are where the dogs are put through their paces and receive points toward titles.  Hunts are designed to test retrievers and handler's abilities in true-to-life hunting situations and as the dogs abilities grow the tests are more difficult. The rules of the Hunts are developed by the HRC and vary depending upon skill level Started, Seasoned, Finished and The Grand. Upland test are also conducted.

The club conducts two Hunts a year allowing HRC members four opportunities a year to earn points toward the current and next HRC title. For Upland there are only two opportunities a year. The club follows the rules and guidelines established by the UKC for Started, Seasoned, Finished , and Upland. The Grand is a international event held semiannually.
